Travis, Heather and I had a wonderful time at the Ren Fest yesterday. I managed to not get sunburnt! I did buy another ring and some pretties to go with my Ren Faire outfit. Travis took pictures so I'll upload them sometime after I get to see them. I got another henna tattoo and I like the design on this one better. I told the henna artist the basics of what I wanted and let him do his own thing. I also had my hair braided again. :) (Can you tell I have a good time when I go?)
Afterwards, I headed home to shower and change before Gina's yearly BBQ. As always, the food was wonderful and the people friendly. I left around 8 though because my allergies were acting up. It was nice to see Gina & Bill's family again before I move. They're good folk.
Today I slept a ton! And could use a nap. So I think that's what I'm going to do. And then I'll work on the Arisia pre-registration form so that can be live soon. Laundry and grocery shopping will round out the day.
Not exciting, but that's ok. It's been a lovely summer weekend.
Well, things are better. Not perfect but definitely better. Weird things: my mouse still only works with the PS/2 connector, Firefox won't load a page in the background in a new tab (it opens the new tab and makes that the active one) (yes, it's set properly) [Thank you, jim!], Quicken seems to have forgotten I want it to check for transactions even though that's properly set up too.
I'll get a few more apps installed and back up everything. Damn computers! :D
[Additional thanks go to Brad, GreyDuck, Slip, Points and Claudia (who took me out for dinner and away from the computer)!]
So I'm moving. But not until September. Originally I was going to move in early August but between work's offer and a "friend" who got me in a bad place with money, I decided to stay an extra month.
Where I am moving? Bostonish. To be closer to my family and my friends. It's not easy to leave a job I've been at for 7 years (and the friends who I've made through that job), but it's harder to realize that it's been 9 years since I could hop in my car and visit my family.
So there you have it. :)

It's always about timing.
I went to put a new keyboard on my PC tonight and accidentally rebooted it during start up (when I was sliding the box back into place). Now my USB mouse only works with a PS/2 adaptor, I don't "see" my printer nor my external hard drive. So I'm backing up everything (to my D drive) so I can wipe (hopefully only the C drive!) and reinstall this weekend. Not really what I had on my list for the weekend since it's Gina's BBQ on Saturday and I'm also going to Ren Fest beforehand.
Update: I wiped my C drive this morning and reinstalled XP Pro. (All of my data is on D.) When it rebooted (before I had to run off to the dentist), it got an error on F (which is where the install CD was) so I just left it. I'll take the CD out and reboot tonight and hope for the best. :(
Questions found at Fond of Elves... (she got them from Megan)

What do you like best about blogging? (I agree with 'elves on this one.) The people I've become friends with. I've had some truly wonderful people come into my life via weblogs.
What are your plans for the weekend? Well, I just got my hair cut and colored so that's taken care of. I might go see a movie. My usual weekend "date" is camping with some other friends so I'm on my own. :)
