So apparently the site doesn't work well in IE. I'll be switching back to the 2-column layout this week. Sorry you IE using people. (But seriously, get Firefox already!)
Ok, it looks fine in IE now. I am too lazy to download Opera tonight so let me know if it looks crappy. (I know there's a weird thing with the sidebar lines but yanno, I don't feel fussed about it.)
All manner of biscuits and bright jelly bean type sweets have been used in the construction, but wafers seem to be the main building blocks of choice. Anything else was mainly just for decoration. I did see a fair few whole garibaldi's, but I'd have liked to have seen more use of them.
So here's my new home. I'm very happy with the name (it was a joint effort between :Dave:, :Statia: and me). :)
The style was a pain to convert. The original person didn't use the 3.2 css as their starting point, so first I converted it to a working 2 column 3.2 css and then to a 3 column version.
Please let me know if you find broken links or missing images (besides the ones that go to techieswithcats.com). I've put in redirects so you should manage to stay on the new domain. (I am going to do cleanup yet and remove references to the old domain in the entries, I forgot to do that before I imported things.)
Anyway, welcome to my new spot on the web. :kiss2:
For Arisia this year, we're going to use a different CMS tool (last year we used Mambo and it was good in some ways but mostly a pain in the ass). This year we've been testing out Drupal because it has some great community features and when you're putting together a SciFi con, community counts.
Tonight I finally figured out the taxonomy and access control stuff. I'm pretty pleased. I looked at what a friend was doing and poked around at some things and it looks pretty simple to do. I want to see if I can hide menu items based on the roles, but that'll wait until over the weekend. (I'd put controls around a block that allowed it to be hidden but then it's using the wrong style for the menu when it's displayed and it's not formatted all pretty but I was pleased that I figured out how to put that together too.)
I also worked on a secret :MT: project for a friend and I'm going to be setting up my new site soon as well (:MT: of course!). Plus there's some neat stuff I want to test for work so I'm plenty busy these days. Just the way I like it. (It makes for a much happier brain when I get to dig around and learn new things.)
I got them today. Yay! Except it's raining so they'll wait until tomorrow to be put on. I need to get an insurance type inspection and also a Mass. inspection by next Tuesday (more or less).
Then I can cancel my Colorado car and renters insurance.

I like to help my friends (and my family) with their blogs (even if they're not using :MT:!). I helped out a friend recently and Saturday when I got the mail I was greeted by:
from my wishlist!
So, thank you, Sooz for the wonderful surprise! And thank you, :Brad: for recommending that CD.
I want to change my domain name but I'm not sure to what. I have morethangeek.com but I use that as my test site for new plugins, :MT: tests, etc. So I want something else. I used to have oldhollywood.org but I'm not hosting my own photos anymore so that seems unnecessary (I love flickr!).
So, any suggestions from the peanut gallery? If you think that you need more information about who I am, etc, please leave me a comment and I'll try to write up s'more. (The answer may be that I switch to morethangeek.com and use this one as my test domain, but I'd love to hear naming suggestions.)
Update: if you search on "domain", you'll see that I've thought about changing this before. ;)
Yay! Between :Statia:, :Dave: and I, we came up with a good one. I'll unveil it in the near future. Thanks you two!
