1. What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before?
Was ready to change jobs in less than a year.
2. Did you keep your New Year's Resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't make 'em. I try to work on being a better person and whatnot, but those aren't specific to the new year.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
I forgot how much I enjoy Spock's Beard. I needed to remove the holiday music from my iPod and put something else on and I decided to rummage through my tons of music. I only copied one of their CDs over, but I think I'll need to reload my iPod again soon.
(Apparently I have their older CDs, in case you were curious.)
Thank you, Brad, for sharing them with me!
Today, Michelle and I spontaneously decided to meet up for lunch. Lunch was tasty, the conversation good and it was definitely about time that we'd done this.
Here's to more meetings with her (and Janet who was unable to meet us for lunch).
When my brother and I were little, we'd gotten a new kitten. Mom decided (or this is how my memory has it) that we could name the kitty anything we wanted to. So he and I (somehow) came up with "Teakettle" as what we wanted to call her.
Mom, forgetting that little kids don't understand sarcasm, said suggested "Souppot". Guess what we picked for the cat's name?
Souppot was the sweetest, gentle-hearted kitty. I'll have to find a scanner and upload some photos of her.
More baking to do, but that's not a negative in my book
Nasty depression from earlier in the week is gone
Work from home day today
The commute has been better this week -- more experimenting to do with this, but there is progress in the "make the commute suck less" task
Dinner tonight with a sweet 3.5 year old (and various adults)
I have a date tomorrow
My sweetie is finally starting to get over the nasty crud that's been harassing him for over a week
We've passed the solstice and there will be more daylight now
I'm sure there are more things for that list, but that's all I can come up with right now.
On the negative side, my former co-workers are buried under a ton of snow (37" where I used to live and 25" where I used to work). I hope all of you are safe and warm!
I hope you all have a lovely weekend and holiday.
